Koe Thaung Temple, Mrauk U

Koe Thaung Temple is located in Mrauk U, Rakhine State Of Burma. The massive monument, built of stone walls and stone terraces measures 76 meters by 70 meters. It is is the largest temple in Mrauk U. The name means “Temple of 90,000 Buddha Images”. The temple was built between 1554 and 1556 by King Dikkha. (Ref: Wikipedia )

Labors Under the Sun, Dala

  It is not uncommon to see woman labors among the men in tiresome works around Myanmar as It is difficult to get a job for their living. This picture was taken near Yangon while the labors unloading the pebbles from the barge to the river bank. Under the heat of the sun they have to carry two bucketful of pebbles and walk for about 1000 yards to get approximately 0.1 US$/ turn.
